David Thornton is a professional musician who has been performing live for the last thirty years. Originally from Sheffield, and now based on the Isle of Wight, he performs regularly in country inns, hotels, music clubs and theatres with a playlist of his own compositions and familiar stripped back acoustic songs penned by many of the world's most popular songwriters including John Lennon, David Bowie, Neil Diamond, Elton John, James Taylor and John Meyer.

He trained as an actor and musician at the National School of Performing Arts in the eighties, and went on to produce three musicals, before touring with theatre companies and bands across the UK. His original tunes have been featured in shows on stage, at Theme Parks and Festivals, on TV commercials and in theatre productions.
